  1. Hi Çiğdem
Your eggplant fries look so delicious, Çiğdem. I love the touch of vinegar and that sauce looks heavenly. I had Turkish friends who were visiting in the US and boy oh boy, do I miss them and their delicious food. When I saw your comment at Rosa's blog I just had to pop over to see if you had cooked anything. I'm so glad you did! Thank you so much for sharing...

    1. Dear Louise , I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. Cooking is the most important thing in a Turkish woman's life I can say !!! That's why nearly most of the Turkish women are above 60 kilos :) we do cook eggplant in many crazy ways that's the one that we serve as a starter with 'rakı ' the traditional Turkish alcohol drink. I'll be happy to see you around my blog whenever you wish. Please take a look at my other recipes , too. With my best wishes :)

    2. Hi Yorum,
Oh yes I know, my friend loved to cook. When she and her family were in the states I cooked them their very first Thanksgiving. And they introduced me to so many wonderful Turkish dishes and taught me how to make yogurt which I still make at home. I also tasted raki one time. Too strong for me. My friends husband, Mousakka was a butcher. He taught me how to make so many delicious lamb meals. I miss them so much:) They were warm wonderful people:) I will be dropping by more often to "smell" what you are cooking. One day, I may just make something you share too. Thank you so much for your kindness...

    3. Dear Louise,
Lamb and beef dishes play an important role in the Turkish cousine and raki is their best companion. It takes people some time to get used to its taste, but it is worth it ! Thank you for the nice conversation and hope to see you again. Best Wishes. Çiğdem :)
